These are meant for encounters which satisfy a few criteria:
(1) not for a new (previously unseen) patient.
(2) physical examination is not inherently required OR you have been instructed by office staff that a screening call is required (e.g. symptoms concerning for COVID-19)
(3) timeline is reasonable given the concerns (N.B. physician and staff may exercise discretion and direct you to another method of accessing care)
We will offer the earliest possible call back time. At present we are not scheduling a specific time for these appointments but rather, a specific period of time e.g. during a particular morning, afternoon or a date. We are actively triaging to get to urgent concerns as quickly as possible. If your circumstances change, please update us or seek alternate options.
In most instances the return call will be from a private/ blocked number as we try our best to get to you in a timely fashion and may use an alternate confidential location.
We are NOT doing a virtual encounter for the first encounter with a new patient.
Please communicate directly with the receptionists via PHONE. Please leave a voicemail (with current phone number and the full name of your child/patient) if you call and are unable to speak directly so we can call you back to set discuss and set up an appointment or discuss other disposition. a voicemail does NOT constitute setting up a virtual encounter; communication must be clearly from person to person to set up the encounter.
Email is NOT a platform to be independently be used to set up a virtual encounter. please do NOT consider an appointment set up if you have emailed only. Person to person voice communication is a pre-requisite to set up an appointment.
